The snow clearance drive began early in the morning, prioritizing essential routes, including roads leading to hospitals and other critical services. The department deployed multiple snow clearance machines and field teams to expedite the process.

Speaking to Srinagar Mail, Executive Engineer R&B Ganderbal, Tatheer Manzoor, said that operations are progressing efficiently. “We have started the clearance process on link roads in our division and have cleared 350 kilometers out of a total of 411 kilometers under our domain,” he stated.

The Executive Engineer further emphasized that 90% of roads have been cleared, and efforts are underway to ensure all remaining areas are covered. “Our teams are working tirelessly to make sure no area remains inaccessible,” he added.

Residents across Ganderbal have expressed gratitude for the swift and efficient response by the R&B department, which has helped maintain essential connectivity despite challenging weather conditions.
