Ganderbal, June 25: In preparation for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY)-2025, Ganderbal Police on Tuesday conducted a large-scale mock drill aimed at assessing the district’s operational readiness and inter-agency coordination for ensuring a safe and secure pilgrimage.
The comprehensive exercise was carried out with active participation from the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Fire & Emergency Services, Civil Administration, Health Department, and other key stakeholders involved in Yatra duties.
The drill simulated various real-time emergency scenarios including terror attack response, evacuation operations, fire and rescue protocols, crowd management, and disaster mitigation strategies. The objective was to evaluate preparedness, enhance synergy among the participating agencies, and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for effective crisis handling.
Ganderbal Police emphasized the critical importance of inter-agency collaboration, rapid response, and clear communication during the Yatra period. Officials stated that such drills not only test the response capabilities of the forces but also instill a sense of security and confidence among both personnel and the public.
The exercise concluded successfully, with participating teams demonstrating high levels of alertness, professionalism, and efficiency. Authorities reiterated their commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and service during the Yatra.
Ganderbal Police assured that all necessary security and logistical measures are being meticulously put in place to facilitate a peaceful and smooth conduct of Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025.
