Awantipora, July 9: The Directorate of IT & Support Services (DIT&SS), Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Kashmir commenced a Two-Day Audio-Visual Technical Workshop today. The workshop aims to build hands-on expertise among the university’s technical staff in the domain of modern AV systems, live broadcast operations, and real-time troubleshooting strategies. Key sessions are being conducted by seasoned professionals from Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar, including Mr. A.K. Srivastava and Mr. Asif N. Khan, who are bringing valuable practical insights into studio operations, equipment management, and live production workflows.
The inaugural session was graced by Registrar, Prof. Ab Wahid Makhdoomi, who lauded the initiative and emphasized the importance of technical upskilling to meet the evolving demands of digital learning environments and event broadcasting. The training programme includes live demonstrations, simulation-based role-plays, and interactive modules, aimed at empowering the support staff to manage complex AV infrastructure with confidence and efficiency.
Director DIT&SS, Dr. Javaid Iqbal expressed that the workshop is part of DIT&SS’s continuous efforts to enhance the operational readiness and technical competence of the university’s support teams, thereby contributing to the overall improvement of academic and administrative functions.
