Police ASI Found Dead in Srinagar’s Ahmad Nagar, Investigation Launched

Srinagar, Aug 17 : An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Police was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Ahmad Nagar area of Srinagar, sources said.

Sources told Srinagar based news agency Kashmir news corner—(KNC) that an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), currently posted at the Ahmad Nagar police station, was found unconscious in his room yesterday late night.

They added that the officer was immediately shifted to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Later, he was identified as Mohammad Shafi, a resident of Yaripora Kulgam.

The police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
