Kupwara, February 16: Continuing its efforts against the menace of drugs, Kupwara Police today apprehended a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance during a naka checking operation.
A police party from Police Station Kralpora, led by Insp Imtiyaz Malik, SHO PS Kralpora, intercepted a suspect during a naka checking at Reddi Chowkibal. Upon search, approximately 40 grams of charas-like substance was recovered from his possession.
The accused has been identified as Abdul Rasheed Mir S/O Sonaullah Mir R/I Zonareshi. In this regard, a case FIR No. 07/2025 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kralpora, and further investigation has been initiated.
