DC Ganderbal reviews functioning of Revenue Department

GANDERBAL, APRIL 25: In a bid to strengthen the efficiency and transparency of the Revenue Department, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore, today chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat, Ganderbal.

During the meeting, the Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Ganderbal gave a detailed presentation highlighting key aspects and current status of the department’s functioning. The discussion covered various critical areas including the progress under the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP), land acquisition cases for developmental projects, issuance of land passbooks, disposal of grievances on JK SAMADHAN, and pending mutations, including those related to defense land.

The DC underscored the importance of timely and efficient service delivery, calling on all concerned officers to expedite the resolution of pending cases to bolster public trust and transparency in the system.

Reviewing the status of online grievance redressal and service delivery, the DC directed all Tehsildars to personally monitor the relevant online portals and ensure prompt and high-quality disposal of grievances. He further instructed that there should be zero pendency in online services so that applicants do not face unnecessary delays.

Interacting with the officers, the DC emphasized the need to address public concerns effectively and ensure seamless service delivery across the district.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Syed Fahim Bihaqi; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, SDM Kangan; Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, Pathwaris, and other concerned officials.
