Srinagar, July 16: The ongoing Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025 is proceeding without any disruption, with pilgrims continuing to visit the holy cave and perform darshan of Baba Barfani. Dismissing rumours circulating on social media about the suspension of the Yatra, the Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir confirmed today that the pilgrimage is continuing smoothly from both routes.
“As on July 15, more than 2.34 lakh pilgrims have had darshan, and today (July 16), yatris have proceeded towards the holy cave from both the Baltal and Pahalgam routes without any interruption,” the Divisional Commissioner said.
Authorities have urged media outlets to verify any information related to the Yatra through official channels before publishing or sharing it, in order to prevent the spread of misinformation.
The public has also been advised to rely solely on official updates for timely and accurate information regarding the pilgrimage.
