Key discussions focused on venue security, intelligence sharing, area domination, patrolling plans, and traffic regulation to ensure a smooth and safe Independence Day. The SSP emphasised real-time coordination among all security agencies, effective deployment of personnel, and vigilant monitoring of all sensitive locations across the district.

SSP Poswal directed officers to strengthen surveillance, including installation of additional CCTVs, frisking at entry points, and random vehicle checking at checkpoints. He also underscored the importance of preventive policing, community liaison, and maintaining prompt response capabilities in case of any incident.

Special focus was laid on securing the main venue, ensuring safe conduct of rehearsals, and maintaining peace in the run-up to the celebrations.

Reiterating a zero-tolerance policy towards any attempts to disrupt peace, SSP Khalil Ahmad Poswal assured that all security measures will be implemented in close coordination with the civil administration and intelligence agencies.

The meeting concluded with a joint commitment from all participating forces to ensure peaceful, safe, and dignified Independence Day celebrations across Ganderbal.
