Tral, July 28, 2025: The Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council today kick-started its “My Youth My Pride” initiative with a 3-day Thang-Ta Championship at the Indoor Sports Stadium in Bajwani, Tral.

Around 200 participants, comprising both boys and girls, showcased their skills and talents in the championship, which aims to promote sports in the region and engage youth in constructive activities.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Tehsildar Tral, Irfan Ahmad, who served as the Chief Guest. Other dignitaries present at the occasion included Mohammad Akram, Incharge J&K Sports Council Unit Tral, Abdul Rashid, Incharge Ground Sports Stadium Tral, Thang-Ta Coach Sajjad Ahmad Dar, and other officials.

The “My Youth My Pride” initiative is a testament to the council’s commitment to nurturing young talent and promoting sports in the region. The championship is expected to conclude on July 30, 2025.
