Tral, Press Release: Congress leader Surinder Singh Channi on Thursday issued a press statement highlighting the persistent hardships faced by the people of Tral and adjoining areas during winter months due to delayed and uncoordinated snow clearance operations.

According to Channi, such a facility would help ensure: Timely deployment of snow-clearing machinery, Improved coordination between departments, Prompt response during snowfall, and Smooth movement for residents, students, and emergency services.

He stressed that the people of Tral “deserve an organised and responsive system in harsh winters” and urged authorities to take urgent action in the interest of the public.

In addition to snow clearance concerns, Channi also pressed the District Administration and the Power Department to guarantee uninterrupted and stable electricity supply throughout the winter season. He noted that frequent power outages and low-voltage issues severely affect households, students, businesses, and especially patients dependent on electricity for medical equipment.
