Srinagar: Awareness-cum-Agricultural Implement Distribution Programme was successfully organized at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K), Wadoora Campus.

The programme was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Rehana Habib Kant, Director Extension, and Prof. (Dr.) Shaleel Ahmad Mir Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, Wadoora.

The event was conducted under the overall supervision and technical guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Javeed, Ahmad Mugloo Principal Investigator of the concerned project. A total of 300 farmers from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) community of Baramulla district participated in the programme.

The technical sessions focused on dissemination of scientific knowledge pertaining to improved crop production technologies, climate-resilient agricultural practices, integrated nutrient and pest management strategies, and efficient utilization of modern farm implements for enhancing input-use efficiency.

During the programme, agricultural implements were distributed among the beneficiary farmers to promote farm mechanization, reduce drudgery, improve operational efficiency, and enhance overall agricultural productivity.

The initiative was aimed at strengthening the socio-economic status of tribal farming communities through technology transfer, capacity building, and promotion of sustainable agricultural practices.
