Kupwara, April 5: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Kupwara, Mir Mohammad Fayaz, has expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Bilal Manzoor Ganie, son of Manzoor Ahmad Ganie, a resident of Chountiwari Sogam in Lolab, who passed away on April 4 while working at Aaba International Hospital in Saudi Arabia. The deceased had reportedly been employed there for the past one and a half years.
In a condolence message, the MLA termed the incident as tragic and heartbreaking, especially as the young man had gone abroad in pursuit of a better livelihood.
“I am deeply saddened by the untimely demise of Bilal Manzoor Ganie. It is extremely painful to see a young life lost far away from home while striving to support his family. My heartfelt condolences go out to the bereaved family in this hour of grief,” said Mir Mohammad Fayaz.
He further urged the Government of India to take swift action in facilitating the return of the mortal remains.
“I humbly request the Hon’ble External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and the Indian Embassy in Riyadh to kindly intervene and ensure the early repatriation of the deceased’s body so that the family can perform the last rites,” he added.
The MLA also assured full support to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
