Pulwama, Press Release: Krishi Vigyan Kendra Pulwama, SKUAST-Kashmir in collaboration with the Center for Study of Science, Technology and Policy (CSTEP) organized a Capacity-Building Workshop on Agrivoltaics on Tuesday at KVK campus.
The workshop focused on how solar energy can be integrated with agriculture and allied activities to improve energy security, reduce production costs, enhance resource-use efficiency and strengthen resilience against climate variability.
Scientists from KVK Pulwama and experts from (CSTEP) delivered technical lectures and interacted with the participating farmers, FPO representatives, SHG Members & students.The lectures were followed by interactive discussions and farmer–scientist interactions, wherein participants raised queries regarding the feasibility, economic benefits and practical application of solar technologies in their farming systems.
The interaction also provided participants a platform to explore solar-powered irrigation, protected cultivation, farm energy solutions and new opportunities for sustainable agricultural enterprises.
