GANDERBAL, Sept 19:- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State Executive Member and District Panchayat Raj Election Incharge Ganderbal, Mohammad Amin Shah, has extended his warm and heartiest congratulations to the Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) Team Ganderbal under the captaincy of DSP HQ Dr. Urfaan Dhar (JKPS) for their marvellous victory in their opening match of the high-profile knockout cricket tournament, praising the team’s outstanding performance, discipline and spirit of teamwork. The tournament, which has drawn widespread enthusiasm across the district, is being organised by the District Police Ganderbal under the dynamic supervision of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ganderbal, Sudhanshu Dhama (IPS). Pivotal role taken by DSP HQ Ganderbal Dr. Urfaan Dhar (KPS) in leading the team and was ably supported by SHO Ganderbal Wasim Gul, SHO Kheer Bhawani Ranbir Singh, Cyber-Incharge Ganderbal Police Mudasir Nazar, Personal Assistant (PA) to DSP HQ Mr. Ajaz Ahmad and PA to SSP Shahid Hussain and team members on the field. The marquee district-level tournament has witnessed massive participation, bringing together nearly 80 competitive cricket teams from across the district to celebrate sportsmanship, youth engagement, and community unity. DSP Headquarters Ganderbal Dr. Urfaan, led from the front in a stellar all-around performance, playing a pivotal role with the ball to dismantle the opposition by capturing an impressive 5 wickets. On the batting front, Akif Nabi delivered a masterclass innings, anchoring the team’s total with a magnificent knock of 77 runs to secure a commanding victory for JKP Ganderbal in their tournament opener.
