Pulwama, September 28: Amrit Charitable Trust, in collaboration with the Kochhar Foundation, distributed school bags and stationery kits among nearly 150 meritorious and deserving students from the far-flung areas of Brenpathri and Nagbal in Tral on Sunday.
The initiative is part of the Trust’s continued efforts to promote educational empowerment among students from remote and economically weaker sections of society. The distribution of essential educational material is aimed at encouraging students to pursue their studies with greater confidence and reducing the financial burden on their families.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Harbaksh Singh, Chairman, Amrit Charitable Trust, said that educational upliftment has remained one of the Trust’s key priorities.
“We want to ensure that students studying in far-flung and underserved areas are not deprived of basic educational resources. Our endeavour is to gradually extend this initiative to every deserving student,” he said.
Dr. Singh said the Trust intends to expand its educational outreach across Tral, Aripal, Awantipora and Dadsara blocks, with the broader objective of covering deserving students across Pulwama district in the future.
He expressed his sincere gratitude to the Kochhar Foundation for its continued support and partnership in carrying forward the educational initiative.
He further emphasised that sustained collaboration between charitable organisations, foundations and the community can make a meaningful contribution towards strengthening education and creating better opportunities for children, particularly those living in remote areas.
