Saleem Sagar stated that every government employee deserves dignity, respect and professional treatment, irrespective of their rank, position or responsibilities. Any allegation of misconduct in an official meeting must be taken seriously, and the facts should be established through a fair, impartial and time-bound inquiry.

He emphasised that differences of opinion are a normal part of administrative functioning, but they must always be expressed through professional, courteous and respectful communication. The dignity of public servants and the decorum of official proceedings must be upheld at all times.

He further stated that if the allegations are substantiated, appropriate action should be taken against those found responsible in accordance with the applicable rules and procedures. At the same time, the inquiry must remain impartial and based on verified facts to ensure fairness to all concerned.
Saleem Sagar also expressed solidarity with the principle of protecting the dignity of every government employee and urged the government and the concerned authorities to establish the facts without unnecessary delay, ensure accountability and take appropriate measures to prevent the recurrence of such incidents.

“Respect for every employee, accountability in public service and professional conduct in official proceedings are essential for a healthy and efficient administrative system. No employee should be subjected to humiliation or disrespect in the discharge of official duties. We expect the authorities to ensure a fair inquiry and appropriate action in accordance with the rules,” Saleem Sagar said.
