August 23: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police have arrested 02 drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from their possession.
A police party of Police Station Boniyar headed by SHO PS Boniyar at a checkpoint established near Govt. Degree College Boniyar intercepted 02 persons identified as Manzoor Ahmad Bhat son of Habibullah resident of Bagna Salamabad & Mubashir Ahmad Khan son of Atta Mohammad Khan resident of Girdnawah Nowshera. During search, 48 grams of contraband charas like substance was recovered from their possession. They have been arrested and shifted to Police Station Boniyar where they remain in custody.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Boniyar and investigation has been initiated.
