Pulwama, September 09:-
In a continued effort to promote voter education and awareness, a successful Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme was organized today at Lalapora Kahilil, a remote village in Assembly Constituency 33-Tral. The event was led by Mushtaq Ahmed Naik, Principal and Nodal Officer for SVEEP in the constituency.
A large emphasis was placed on encouraging voter turnout, with the programme focusing on the value of every vote and its critical significance in a democratic setup. Participants were educated on the importance of electoral participation to ensure free and fair elections.
To engage the local community, a cultural performance was presented by students, designed to draw attention to the SVEEP initiative. Following this, a student rally was held, where participants held placards illustrating the importance of voting and the impact of SVEEP. The rally was well-received by the community, furthering the objective of raising electoral awareness.
In parallel, a SVEEP event was also organized by 33-AC Tral at the Awantipora Cluster Level Federation in Chersoo, where the focus was on voter education among the general public and Self Help Group (SHG) members. Here, too, the importance of voter turnout and the value of voting in the democratic process were emphasized, with detailed discussions about the role SVEEP plays in strengthening electoral participation.
