Pulwama: The two-day District Pulwama Softball Championship came to a thrilling end on Monday at Tral Stadium, showcasing the exceptional skills of dozens of softball players.

The event was graced by Secretary J&K Softball Association, Waseem Raja Khan, as the Chief Guest, and Chairman Citizens Council Tral, Farooq Trali, as the Guest of Honor.

The championship was a resounding success, with teams competing fiercely for the top spot. In the end, the winner and runner-up teams were awarded medals and trophies, recognizing their outstanding performances.

Farooq Trali, Chairman Citizen Council Tral, praised the J&K Sports Council for its tireless efforts in promoting youth participation in sports at the sub-district level. He highlighted the council’s collaboration with various sports associations to provide opportunities for young athletes to shine.

However, Trali also brought attention to the pressing issue of the outdoor stadium in Tral, and said that, “Outdoor stadium remains in a state of disrepair, which our council has brought to the government’s notice time and again.”
