Kulgam, Sep 29: Days after a news story published regarding illegal method of electrofishing to hunt the fish from a running veshow in south kashmiri’s Kulgam district, acting promptly upon a specific information regarding the electrofishing.

Incharge Assistant Director Fisheries, Kulgam, Shabir Ahmad told VOI that the anti-poaching team led by deputy inspector fisheries Mushtaq Ahmad carried out a late night raid along Veshow Nallah at Adipora, Nihama in Kulgam and they have nabbed four persons involved in illegal fishing through electrocution process also confiscating their equipments.

He also said that no one would be spared at any cost who are doing such illegal activity, urge people to refrain from such activities which are harmful for aquatic life, adding this valuable resource belongs to the whole society and to conserve fish fauna is our moral duty.
