Bandipora: As the final phase of the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections unfolds, polling booths in Sumbal, Bandipora, have witnessed large crowds of voters.
The third phase, conducted on October 1, is the largest in this election cycle, with elections being held for 40 seats across the region.
As of 01:00 PM, voter turnout reports from various constituencies indicate varying levels of participation.
In the 14-Sonawari constituency, a total of 46,678 voters were recorded, resulting in a turnout of 43.30%, with 26,610 males and 20,068 females participating.
Meanwhile, the 15-Bandipora constituency saw a total of 46,678 voters, achieving a turnout of 40.13%, consisting of 26610 males and 20,068 females.
In the 16-Gurez constituency, a total of 11,692 voters were counted, with a turnout of 52.45%, including 5763 males and 5929 females.
With polling still underway, these figures are expected to fluctuate as more voters make their way to the booths.
The enthusiasm and engagement observed today highlight the critical importance of these elections in shaping the future of Jammu Kashmir.
