SR Foundation & People’s Welfare Trust Organize Seminar on National Pollution Control Day

Pulwama (Pampore): SR Foundation, in collaboration with the People’s Welfare Trust, organized a seminar on National Pollution Control Day at Khrew, Pampore to raise awareness about pollution reduction in the area. The event, which focused on tackling pollution from local factories, was chaired by Dr. Rouf Ur Rafiq (Environmentalist), Chairman of SR Foundation.

The seminar was attended by MLA Pampore, Hasnain Masoodi, People’s Welfare Trust Chairman Rayees Ahmad, and other dignitaries including Dr. Nisar Ahmad, Manzoor Ahmad, Ghulam Hassan & Saba Bhat. 

The speakers at the event emphasized the importance of implementing pollution control measures in nearby factories to safeguard the environment. They highlighted that adopting these measures not only prevents environmental degradation but also ensures the safety and well-being of the locals.

SR Foundation Chairman Dr. Rouf Rafiq said that the motive behind conducting such seminars was to highlight the consequences of pollution and the steps that can control it.

MLA Pampore Hasnain Masoodi expressed concern over the growing pollution in the Khrew area and stated that he will proactively work for its control, as ‘it affects flora and fauna.’
