Army pays tribute to soldier dies of heart attack while on duty in Rajasthan

Qazigund, Dec 3: The Indian Army on Tuesday paid tributes to the soldier who died of heart attack while on duty in Rajasthan on Sunday.

An army official told that Vepinder singh son of Suba Singh of Palpora of Mirbazar who was on duty suffered a massive heart attack in Rajasthan leads to death of the soldier.

He said body was airlifted on Monday from Rajasthan to Badami bagh headquarters in Srinagar, adding body of slain soldier arrived in his native village Palpora on today morning where he was laid to rest. Soldiers, family members and relatives of the deceased participated in his last rites.

“In this hour of grief, the Army stands in solidarity with the bereaved family and remains committed to their dignity and well being,” he said.
