Tral, 7 Dec: Segregation sheds constructed near a cricket stadium in Rathsuna village have become a source of growing frustration for local cricket players, with waste being improperly disposed of and scattered around the area.
Cricketers who regularly use the stadium for practice and matches have expressed concerns over the unsanitary conditions, with garbage often being blown around by the wind, making it difficult to play.
According to the local players, the situation has worsened as the area has become a gathering spot for stray dogs, posing additional safety risks to players and residents.
The segregation sheds, as well as the cricket stadium, were reportedly built by the Rural Development Department (RDD). However, the sheds are not being maintained according to the prescribed guidelines, leading to the current state of neglect.
