BOMIS Pampore Hosts Enlightening Career Guidance, Counselling, and Positive Parenting Sessions

Pampore, 8th December: Birla Open Minds International School Pampore successfully organized a Transformative Career Guidance and Counselling Session for students of Grades 8, 9, and 10, alongside an engaging Positive Parenting session for parents, on the 7th and 8th of December 2024. The two-day event proved to be an empowering experience for both students and parents, providing valuable insights into career planning, emotional well-being, and fostering a positive parent-child relationship.

The sessions for the students were led by two distinguished experts of psychology and career coaching: Dr. KomalPreet Kaur and Ms. Poonam Gupta.

Dr. KomalPreet Kaur, a renowned Performance Psychologist, Career Coach and Chairperson of the Institute of Psychometric Assessment & Counselling, with over 17 years of experience, guided students through psychometric assessments and counselling techniques aimed at helping them to identify their strengths and career inclinations.

Ms. Poonam Gupta, an internationally certified NLP Master Practitioner and Clinical Hypnotherapy Practitioner, shared her vast experience in emotional health and career mentoring.

In addition to the student sessions, a dedicated Positive Parenting session was held for parents, aimed at enhancing their understanding of how to support their children’s emotional and psychological growth. Parents were enlightened to practical strategies to foster a nurturing environment at home, emphasizing communication, encouragement, and understanding during the crucial adolescent years. The response from parents was overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing their deep appreciation for the insightful tips and techniques shared during the session. Parents were especially pleased with the personalized approaches that could help strengthen their relationships with their children, guiding them toward emotional well-being and success.

The success of these sessions was evident as parents and students expressed gratitude for the opportunity to participate in such an enriching programs. Several parents shared their enthusiasm and also requested the school management to organize more such sessions in the future, besides recognizing the profound impact they had on their children’s development and their own selves.
