Police apprehends drug peddler and seizes contraband substance in Ganderbal

Ganderbal: In continuation of the efforts to eradicate the drug menace from the society, District Police Ganderbal arrested one more Drug Peddler in the jurisdiction of PS Kheerbawani and Seized Contraband Substance.

Today, Police Party of Police Station Kheerbawani laid naka at Polytechnic College Hatbura.

During Naka checking one pedestrian namely Wahid Ahmad Shah S/O Mohd Yousuf Shah R/O Shallbugh was stopped and during his search Contraband Substance 3.28Kgs of Bangpatri was recovered and Seized, which he was carrying in a white Bag. The accused was arrested on the spot.

Accordingly, Case FIR No. 54/2024, under relevant Sections of NDPS Act was registered at PS Kheerbawani and further investigation has been taken up.

Ganderbal Police requests general public to share information regarding drugs in the area and we assure complete anonymity of the informer.
