Ganderbal Police arrested drug peddler and seizes contraband substance

Ganderbal: In continuation of the efforts to eradicate the drug menace from the society, District Police Ganderbal arrested one more Drug Peddler in the jurisdiction of PP Nagbal and Seized Contraband Substance from his possession.

Yesterday evening Police Party of PP Nagbal laid Naka at Shuhama. On seeing the Police Party, a person who was coming towards Warpahoo tried to flee from the spot. The swift action by the Naka Police Party apprended him tactfully and during his personal search Contraband Bangpattri along with seeds and tops like substance was recovered and seized. The accused disclosed his identity as Nisar Ahmad Kambay S/O Ghulam Ahmad Kambay R/O Shuhama.

Accordingly, Case FIR No. 303/2024, under relevant Sections of NDPS Act was registered at PS Ganderbal and further investigation has been taken up.

Ganderbal Police requests general public to share information regarding drugs in the area and we assure complete anonymity of the informer.
