Qazigund, (Kulgam) Jan 11: Security has been beefed up along Jammu Srinagar National Highway on Saturday ahead of PM Modi Visit to Kashmir on Jan 13, an official told said.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kulgam, Sahil Sarangal-IPS along with Addl. SP NHW Mumtaz Ali Bhati, SDPO Qazigund, others officers are personally monitoring the situationN along Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and checkpoints have been erected in the many places and security forces stopping and checking the vehicles to ensure that the VVIP visit passes off peacefully.
Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be arriving in Kashmir on Jan 13 to inaugurate Z Morh tunnel which is one of vital infrastructure projects on strategic Srinagar-Ladakh National highway (NH) and the second important tunnel after Zojila tunnel.
