MLA Bandipora Calls for Prioritizing Public Welfare and Ensuring Uninterrupted Essential Services

Bandipora, February 28: MLA Bandipora, Nizamuddin Bhat has urged authorities to prioritize public welfare and ensure the efficient management of essential services, particularly uninterrupted electricity and water supply.Emphasizing accountability and transparency in governance, he stressed that the public must receive the services they rightfully deserve without unnecessary delays or bureaucratic hurdles.

Bhat spoke to the Chief Engineer of PDD and requested that electricity connections of poor households not be disconnected during the holy month of Ramzan. He highlighted the struggles of poor laborers during winter, noting that many face difficulties in paying their electricity bills due to a lack of work. To provide relief, at least for this month, he suggested allowing easy installment-based payments for defaulters.

Additionally, he made a special appeal for Chuntawari,Benilipora Aloosa stressing the urgent need for power restoration in the area, which has been experiencing outages for several days.To address the issue, he directed the Executive Engineer of PDD Bandipora to ensure the immediate restoration of electricity, particularly in view of the holy month.

Furthermore, MLA Bandipora condemned the politicization of welfare and essential services.He urged officers to serve the people with sincerity rather than misleading them and reminded them of their duty to address public grievances with dedication.He called for a governance approach that prioritizes public concerns over political interests, ensuring that essential services remain accessible to all, especially during the holy month of Ramzan.
