Jammu & Kashmir Teachers Forum Strengthens Its Presence in Awantipora

Awantipora, 28th February: The Jammu & Kashmir Teachers Forum (J&KTF), Zone Awantipora, held a significant meeting today under the leadership of Zonal President Mr. Abdul Salam Wani. The meeting, which saw Mr. Javid Jameel Sahib, District President, as the chief guest, focused on strengthening the Forum by inducting new members and allocating key portfolios.

Despite inclement weather, the meeting was well-attended by a large group of dedicated educators from the region, all committed to enhancing the quality of education and advocating for teachers’ welfare.

A major outcome of the meeting was the formal induction of several teachers, which is expected to bolster the Forum’s influence in the region. These new members will contribute to the Forum’s ongoing efforts to address teachers’ concerns and improve the overall educational landscape.

During the session, the Forum’s leadership allocated various portfolios to the newly inducted members, ensuring a streamlined and efficient working mechanism. The leadership expressed confidence that the newly appointed members would play a crucial role in defending teachers’ rights and fostering positive change within the education sector.

In his address, Mr. Abdul Salam Wani, Zonal President, emphasized the importance of unity among educators, and reaffirmed the Forum’s commitment to professional development, teacher welfare, and the dignity of educators. The meeting also highlighted the need for modernizing teaching methodologies, integrating technology in classrooms, and enhancing student engagement and assessment systems.

At the end of the meeting, several key appointments were made within the Forum’s Zonal Body, with the following portfolios allocated: President: Mr. Abdul Salam Wani, Vice Presidents: Mr. Farooq Ahmad Malik, Mr. Farooq Ahmad Rather, Patron: Mr. Farooq Ahmad Reshi, General Secretary: Mr. Zahoor Ahmad Mir, Joint Secretary: Mr. Fayaz Ahmad Yatoo, Media Secretary: Mr. Mir Farooq ud Din, Organiser: Mr. Parvaiz Gulzar, Senior Organiser: Mr. Sanjay Kumar Bhat, Chief Organiser: Mr. Syed Mushtaq Ahmad, Spokesperson: Mr. Khanday Ashiq Hassan, Treasurer: Mr. Gh Hassan Wani, Financial Advisor: Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, Legal Advisors: Mr. Nisar Ahmad Reshi, & Mr. Fayaz Ahmad Wani.

Additionally, four members from Zone Awantipora were selected for district and provincial positions, while twenty new members were inducted as executive members.
