Ganderbal, April 19, 2025 — Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS formally assumed charge as the new Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ganderbal today, succeeding Shri Ragav S, IPS.
The customary handing over of charge took place at the District Police Headquarters Ganderbal, where Shri Poswal was warmly welcomed by senior police officers. A Guard of Honour was presented to the incoming SSP, followed by a brief yet dignified ceremony in which Shri Ragav S officially handed over the baton of leadership.
Following the formal assumption of charge, SSP Khalil Ahmad Poswal chaired an introductory meeting with senior police officers of the district. During the meeting, he urged all personnel to work with commitment, enthusiasm, and a public-centric approach to address the issues faced by residents of Ganderbal.
He emphasized the importance of teamwork, transparency, and maintaining a corruption-free environment within the department. He also called for a focused and coordinated strategy to combat the drug menace and ensure a safer, healthier society.
