Srinagar, Apr 24: The Central Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Kashmir division held a farewell ceremony to honor two of its retiring officials, Lateef Ahmad Zargar, Area Enforcement Officer, and Ali Mohamad Shah. Both officers concluded nearly four decades of dedicated service, most of which was rendered under the Jammu & Kashmir EPFO (JKEPFO), later transitioning into Central EPFO until their retirement in April 2025.
The farewell function was held at the EPFO Regional Office Srinagar, situated on the 1st and 2nd floors of the Labour Commissioner’s building in Batmaloo. The ceremony was attended by colleagues, officials, and well-wishers who celebrated the contributions of the retiring officers.
The Central EPFO continues to deliver Provident Fund (EPF), Pension (EPS), and Insurance (EDLI) benefits to eligible members across the Kashmir Valley, in accordance with the EPF & MP Act, 1952, EPF Scheme 1952, EPS Scheme 1995, and EDLI Scheme 1976.
Speaking on the occasion, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner Shri Vinay Kumar acknowledged the persistent issue of default and non-compliance by several establishments in the valley. He assured that the regional office is actively working to secure social security rights for all eligible citizens across the 10 districts of Kashmir.
