Ganderbal Police Holds “Thana Diwas” at PS Safapora to Strengthen Community Engagement

Ganderbal, 11 May: In a bid to foster stronger community ties and address public concerns, the Ganderbal Police organized “Thana Diwas” at Police Station Safapora. The event was presided over by SSP Ganderbal, Shri Khalil Ahmad Poswal-JKPS, and attended by gazetted officers, senior police officials, and a wide spectrum of local residents.

Citizens from various walks of life, including community elders, Auqaf Committee members, Numberdars, Chowkidars, farmers, teachers, and traders from the adjoining areas participated actively in the interactive session. The participants voiced their concerns and shared suggestions regarding policing and civil issues.

SSP Ganderbal, while addressing the gathering, assured immediate redressal of police-related grievances and promised to take up civil matters with the concerned departments. He emphasized the department’s zero-tolerance policy towards drugs and urged community members to report any related activities for swift action.

He also called upon the public to support police efforts in maintaining peace, law, and order by identifying anti-social and anti-national elements that threaten the harmony of the region.

Participants appreciated the initiative and expressed their gratitude towards Ganderbal Police for organizing the event, stating that such platforms are vital for strengthening trust and collaboration between the police and the public.

The event concluded with mutual expressions of thanks and a renewed commitment to community-police partnership.
