Traffic Enforcement Drive Conducted in Aripal Tral

Pulwama, June 17: An intensive traffic enforcement drive was conducted in the Aripal area of Sub-Division Tral on Tuesday under the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Pulwama and the supervision of the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Tral.

The operation, spearheaded by the enforcement team of ARTO Pulwama, aimed at curbing rampant violations of the Motor Vehicles Act and reinstating road discipline in the area.

The enforcement team acted with firm resolve and a policy of zero tolerance, identifying and penalizing a range of violations. The drive led to the booking of several offenders across various categories:

Plying without Speed Limiting Device (SLD): 06 cases

Driving without a valid license / Riding without protective helmet: 18 cases

Operating vehicles without valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate and insurance: 01 case

Plying without High-Security Registration Plate (HSRP): 01 case

Carrying passengers in goods vehicles (gross misuse): 02 cases

Overloading / Exceeding permissible passenger limit: 03 cases

Triple riding on two-wheelers: 02 cases

The enforcement effort is expected to result in the realization of penalties amounting to ₹1,36,000 through E-challans issued on the spot.

Officials from the enforcement wing stated that the drive was intended not only to penalize violations but also to send a strong message to habitual offenders about the serious consequences of non-compliance with traffic laws.
