Bhat, also highlighted the issues of District Hospital Bandipora, including the non-functional lift, inadequate heating arrangements and staff shortages, which have been affecting patient care, requesting urgent intervention to ensure dignified healthcare for the people.

Concerned about local livelihoods, Bhat urged the Chief Secretary to facilitate the reopening of Wullar, Watlab tourist points and Gurez for tourists, allowing people to earn during the peak season while ensuring necessary safety measures.

He also stressed the need for the beautification of Bandipora town with proper street lighting and innovative steps to develop it as a model town of North Kashmir.

Looking towards Bandipora’s future, Bhat is requesting the establishment of a Youth Skill Development Centre to address unemployment, eco-tourism projects around Wullar Lake to generate livelihoods while preserving ecology, implementation of solid waste management for a cleaner Bandipora, development of sports infrastructure to positively channel youth energy, and promotion of local handicrafts with strong market linkages for artisans.
