DC Doda reviews progress of Health Sector programmes

Stresses on effective implementation of NTEP, JSSK

DODA, JULY 22: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda Harvinder Singh today convened a comprehensive district-level review meeting of the health sector here in the Conference Hall, DC Office complex.

The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer Manesh Kumar; Chief Medical Officer Dr. Om Kumar; Medical Superintendent AH GMC Dr. Tanveer Ahmed; District Health Officer Dr. Raj Kumar Sharma; Deputy CMO Dr. S.L. Manhas, Block Medical Officers and Programme Management Staff from the District and Block levels, including Government Medical College Doda.

At the outset, CMO Dr. Om Kumar delivered a detailed PowerPoint presentation highlighting the progress made under different health indicators, including work done, targets achieved and progress across key programmes.

The Deputy Commissioner assessed indicator-wise progress achieved under the flagship health initiatives including the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP), Reproductive and Child Health (RCH), Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram (JSSK), Tele-consultation services, Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) Screening, JK Sehat and Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) including ABHA ID generation

While reviewing the TB programme, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized robust monitoring and efficient follow-up mechanism.

Underlining the importance of RCH initiative, he directed the health authorities to provide timely and quality services to pregnant women, with special focus on institutional deliveries and effective engagement of ASHA workers for timely tracking and support. He also stressed on effective Tele-consultation, NCD Screening and ABDM, urging the management staff to enhance performance in these critical areas.
