Krishi Vigyan Kendra Pulwama organizes Krishi Sampark Abhiyan-Rural Credit Workshop at Tral

Pulwama, (Press Release): Krishi Vigyan Kendra Pulwama, organized a mega event on 14-08-2025 at Town Hall Tral to mark the second event of the Krishi Sampark Abhiyan-Rural credit workshop (JKCIP-IFAD).

The event was graced by the presence of MLA Tral Rafiq Ahmad Naik as the Chief Guest, Director Extension Prof. Raihana Habib Kanth, SKUAST-K, Officials from various line departments, including Agriculture, Horticulture, Sheep Husbandry, J&K Bank and witnessed enthusiastic participation from progressive farmers, tribal farmers, farm women, scientists, and other officials. Director Extension give detailed lecture about the scheme and how to catch up the benefits from the scheme.

In his address, MLA Tral appreciated the efforts of KVK Pulwama in connecting farmers with government schemes and facilitating their socio-economic upliftment through scientific interventions and timely dissemination of information.

Dr. Javed Ahmad Mugloo, Prof. & Head, KVK Pulwama, welcomed the participants and briefed the gathering about the objectives of the programme. He emphasized the importance of JKCIP in providing direct income support to farmers and the role of KVKs in promoting sustainable agricultural development.

During the event agricultural tool kits were also distributed among tribal farmers aimed at supporting them in adopting modern and efficient farming practices.

The initiative was highly appreciated by the attendees and is expected to aid in enhancing agricultural productivity among marginalized farming groups. The event was moderated by Dr. Ajaz Ahmad Ganie and was concluded with formal vote of thanks by Dr. Syed Shujhat Hussain wherein gratitude was expressed to all dignitaries, officials, and farmers for their active participation.
