Kulgam, August 30: As part of the Pan-India Rescue and Rehabilitation of Child Labour Drive initiated by the Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India, a special enforcement-cum-awareness operation was carried out in District Kulgam under the supervision of the District Administration and Labour Department.
The drive aimed at identifying, rescuing, and rehabilitating children engaged in hazardous and non-hazardous labour practices.
Multiple teams comprising officers from the Labour Department, Child Protection Unit, child welfare committee conducted surprise inspections at workshops, roadside establishments and markets.
