Katra, Sept 13: In light of continuous heavy rainfall in the Bhawan area and along the yatra track, the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has announced the suspension of the Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra, which was scheduled to commence on 14th September.

According to an official statement issued by the Shrine Board, the decision has been taken keeping in view the safety of the pilgrims. The inclement weather has rendered the route unsafe for travel, prompting authorities to postpone the pilgrimage until further notice.
