FCS&CA Department Pulwama rebutts news regarding the arrest of its employees and seizure of Govt.Rice

Pulwama, October 03: Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department Pulwama on friday strongly rebutted news circulating on different social media apps wherein it is being stated that a huge quantity of Govt.Rice has been siezed by the Police and a employee belonging to the FCSCA pulwama has been arrested.

Assistant Director FCSCA pulwama said that they have come across the news regarding arrest of its employee through a WhatsApp group which has come to as a shock as no employee of our Department has been arrested nor any rice meant for the public distribution has been siezed anywhere.

“There is some miscommunication as the said rice is available in Open Market as well and it seems news has been spread without proper confirmation and authenticity from the concerned quarters. We request Media agencies to refrain from publishing the information without proper confirmation as it creates huge choas among the department and the general public.” the officer said.

He further added that he talked to all circle officers of the District who denied such news and reported all the employees are present at their place of posting.
