Tral, Oct 14: In a heartening display of youthful talent and emotional depth, Arbeena Sajad, a 12th class medical student from Dadsara, Tral, has authored her debut book titled “In the Quiet Where He Once Was.” The 152-page work, now available on Amazon and Flipkart, delves into themes of heartbreak, solitude, and self-discovery.
Daughter of Sajad Ahmad Mir, Arbeena says the inspiration behind the book came from the universal experience of emotional turning points. “I wrote this book because I believe every person goes through a turning point where everything falls apart, and at that point, we often find ourselves alone,” she said. “I wanted those who feel that way to know they’re not alone. After every heartbreak, every silence, and every darkness, there is a light — and sometimes, that light is us.”

Describing the writing process as therapeutic, she added, “I didn’t realize when writing became my escape. It started with a few words on paper and slowly turned into a home for my emotions.”
The book is dedicated to all those who have found strength through their struggles. “This book is for everyone who learned to smile even after being broken,” Arbeena noted.
