Empowering Vision: VMS Srinagar Leads #SeeAMillion Solutions Week 2025 for Inclusive Innovation

Srinagar, 6th November 2025: As part of the nationwide #SeeAMillion Campaign (01–08 November 2025), the Voluntary Medicare Society (VMS), Bemina, Srinagar, in collaboration with EnAble India, organized #SeeAMillion SOLUTIONS WEEK 2025 — a distinctive exhibition and awareness event showcasing assistive devices, inclusive technologies, and accessibility solutions for persons with visual impairment.

The event served as a vibrant platform for innovation and inclusion, featuring interactive stalls, live demonstrations, and hands-on experiences presented by leading organizations and innovators in the field of assistive technology, including: Orbit Research, Gujarat, TorchIt, Ahmedabad, Composite Regional Centre (CRC), Srinagar, and Voluntary Medicare Society (VMS), Srinagar.

A diverse range of assistive devices and digital tools were exhibited — enabling individuals with blindness and low vision to read, write, communicate, navigate, and live independently. The event attracted enthusiastic participation from students, educators, parents, rehabilitation professionals, NGOs, Govt. officials and community members, who engaged with the latest innovations driving accessibility and inclusion.

The programme was graced by eminent dignitaries including Prof. (Dr.) Mir Mohammad Maqbool, President & Founder, VMS; Prof. Masooda Yaseen, Vice President, VMS; Dr. Farooq Ahmad Kaloo, Secretary, VMS; Dr. Bashir Ahmad Lone, Director, VMS; and Mr. Mohammad Ayoub, Administrator, VMS, along with the dedicated staff and volunteers of the organization.
