The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from party workers and local residents. On the occasion, more than 20 women and four men joined the Apni Party, and were warmly welcomed into the party fold by Dr. Harbakash Singh.

Among the prominent new entrants was Sajad Ahmed Naik of Lurgam, who had been actively associated with the BJP and RSS for over the last ten years. Mr. Naik, along with others, expressed full faith in the leadership of Dr. Harbakash Singh and the vision of the Apni Party, assuring dedication and hard work for strengthening the party at the grassroots level.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Harbakash Singh thanked all the new members and said that the active participation of women would significantly strengthen the party’s presence at the ground level, particularly in the Tral constituency. He stated:

“The love and affection I receive from the people is the result of my hard work. The faith of the public is the true foundation of politics.”

During the programme, party workers discussed various important issues, including the upcoming elections. Dr. Singh also highlighted the urgent need for development in New Colony, Mominabad, and Awantipora in general, stating that the area has been consistently ignored despite its historical, educational, and religious significance. He mentioned that Awantipora hosts prestigious institutions like AIIMS and the Islamic University of Science and Technology, along with important religious sites such as the historic Ziyarat Sharief of Syed Mantique Sahib and the Gurdwara of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. He further noted that Awantipora was once the capital of Raja Awanti Varman’s state.

Dr. Singh expressed hope that raising public issues at the appropriate platforms would lead to their early resolution and reaffirmed the Apni Party’s commitment to addressing the genuine concerns of the people.

Prominent party leaders present on the occasion included Bashir Ahmed Ahangher (Zone President), Mumtaza Ji Abdul Gani Thokar (Block President, Dadsara), Muzafar Beigh (Block Vice President), Adil Khan, Asif Reshi, Mohd Amin Beigh, Zahid Ahmed, and Rafiq Ahmed Gada.
