Awareness Camps on New Labour Codes and Social Security Schemes Held at Awantipora and Lethpora

Awantipora: Today on 03-01-2026 Awareness camps on the New Labour Codes and Social Security Schemes were organized at the AIIMS Site Awantipora and Transit Camp Lethpora to educate workers about labour welfare measures and social security benefits.

During the camps, the Labour Officer Pulwama, along with other officials, briefly explained the key provisions of the New Labour Codes, focusing on workers’ rights, safety, and social security. Workers were also informed about various social security schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan (PMSYM), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), among others.

The camps witnessed active participation from the workers, who showed keen interest and sought clarifications regarding the schemes. The initiative was aimed at spreading awareness and ensuring maximum outreach of labour welfare schemes among workers.
