Speaking on the occasion, the Director, RMLF, Ms. Zia Darakshan said that the foundation remains committed to bridging healthcare gaps in remote and underserved areas. She stated that such outreach initiatives are aimed at creating health awareness at the grassroots level while ensuring that essential medical services reach those who have limited access to healthcare facilities.

Executive Director of RMLF, Ms. Farhana Rakshand said that the organisation believes in taking healthcare to the doorsteps of vulnerable communities. She added that sustained medical outreach and awareness programmes are key to improving long-term health outcomes in rural areas.

The Marketing Head of ASG Eye Hospital, Srinagar, Mr Imran ,said that eye health is often neglected in rural areas due to lack of awareness and access to specialised care. He noted that participation in such camps enables early diagnosis of vision-related problems and helps prevent avoidable blindness through timely treatment and referral.

The Director representing Amal Hospital, Anantnag, highlighted that non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and hypertension are steadily increasing even in rural populations. He said outreach programmes like these play a crucial role in screening, counselling and guiding patients towards appropriate medical care before complications set in.

The residents appreciated the role of RMLF in delivering vital healthcare services in far-flung areas. The beneficiaries underlined the importance of regular medical camps for public welfare and requested the organisation to continue expanding such initiatives.

RMLF had organised a similar medical camp in the Halpora area of Vailoo Kokernag, which received a strong response from the local community, reaffirming the need for continued healthcare outreach in rural regions.
