Awantipora, Press Release: In a proud moment for District Pulwama, Yasir Akbar from Awantipora has successfully qualified the prestigious All India NIS Wushu Examination conducted by the Sports Authority of India at the Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports, Patiala.
With this achievement, he has become the first person from Pulwama district to clear the NIS Wushu course — one of the highest coaching certifications in Indian sports.
Yasir expressed gratitude to Mr. Kuldeep Handoo (Dronacharya Awardee & Chief Coach Wushu India), the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council, his coach Mr. Rameez Ah Dar (Coach Khelo India Shopian) and District Secretary Pulwama Mudasir Ah Dar for their constant support and guidance.
His achievement has inspired young athletes across Kashmir and brought great honor to Awantipora and the entire district Pulwama (PR).
