Police Intensifies Anti-Drug Operations; Massive Wild Bhang Eradication Drive Conducted At Kreeri, Baramulla

Baramulla, May 17: In continuation of the sustained campaign against drug abuse and illegal narcotic cultivation under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu Kashmir Abhiyan, police in Baramulla carried out an extensive wild bhang destruction drive in the areas of Souchipora and Astaan Mohalla Kreeri.

During the operation, police teams destroyed large patches of wild bhang cultivated over open areas and nearby land pockets. The drive was conducted with active support and cooperation from local residents and members of civil society, reflecting the growing public participation in the fight against drug menace.

The operation forms part of the continuous efforts of Police to dismantle every possible source contributing to narcotics and substance abuse, especially among youth. Police officers also interacted with locals during the drive and urged them to remain vigilant and immediately report any instances of illegal cultivation or drug-related activities in their areas.

Police reiterates its firm commitment towards building a drug-free society and ensuring strict action against all elements involved in promoting narcotics in any form.
