If we look around us, nowadays almost everyone is tired, not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. Most people are not aware of the true concept of relaxation. Scrolling through a phone, sleeping excessively, running away from problems, or avoiding work is not relaxation. Real relaxation is an art, and to become an artist of it, you must first understand what you need to relax from. Relaxation is simply putting down the load from your heart and mind.
Most of the time, we feel it is wrong to distance ourselves from people in order to give time to ourselves. However, the truth is that it is completely okay to stay away from others for a while so that you can recharge yourself. You do not have to appear strong when you are struggling to stand firm even for yourself. Instead, take some quality time to spend with yourself, understand your feelings, and reflect on your inner thoughts. Clear your mind of things that drain your energy and fill your soul with calmness and tranquility.
Relaxation does not mean sitting idle and doing nothing. It simply means being with yourself and listening to your inner voice. In other words, relaxing is not laziness.
Whenever you feel overwhelmed, do not hesitate to step away from anything that makes you feel exhausted or unwell. You can simply let others know that you need some time for yourself to relax. After all, you can only support others when your own hands are steady. Therefore, relax yourself first, and then become someone else’s strength.
