During his visit to Killian, LoP Sunil Sharma reached out directly to the concerned state Chief Minister of the labours, over the phone. In their conversation, Sharma conveyed heartfelt condolences on behalf of the legislative opposition and pressed the Chief Minister to ensure immediate ex-gratia relief, comprehensive financial assistance, and repatriation support for the families of the deceased workers.

The attack, which targeted innocent labourers working in the region, has triggered widespread outrage across the Union Territory. Security forces have intensified search operations across Kulgam to track down and eliminate the perpetrators responsible for the senseless violence.

Talking to media Sunil Sharma, Leader of Opposition, J&K Legislative Assembly said, “This cowardly attack on innocent, hardworking citizens is a direct assault on humanity and peace in Jammu and Kashmir. The perpetrators of this barbaric act must be brought to swift justice. I have spoken directly with the Honorable Chief Minister, urging the administration to immediately sanction robust relief packages and financial aid for the grieving families who have lost their sole breadwinners. The entire nation stands firmly with these families in their darkest hour. Terrorists and their handlers will not be allowed to destabilise the peaceful progress of Jammu and Kashmir.”

Anwar Khan, BJP State General Secretary while in his comments to the media said, “The killing of innocent labourers in Killian is a despicable attempt by terror elements to spread fear and disrupt communal harmony in Kashmir. Such nefarious designs will never succeed. We extend our deepest condolences to the victims’ families and demand uncompromised security cover for all workers across the valley.”
