Srinagar: Today, Voluntary Medicare Society (VMS) & EnAble India in collaboration with the University of Kashmir successfully concluded the 10-Day Deafhood Workshop (4–14 August 2026) at the University of Kashmir.
A total of 32 persons with hearing loss participated in the workshop, which focused on Deafhood, identity, leadership, inclusion, and empowerment.
The valedictory function was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Nilofer Khan, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, University of Kashmir; Prof. Masooda Yaseen, Vice-President, VMS; Prof. Seema Singh, Dean Students Welfare; Dr. Suhail Maqbool, Treasurer, VMS; Dr. Fayaz Ahmad Lone, Librarian; Dr. Alim Chandani, Mission Leader, EnAble India; Mr. Tushar and Mr. Amaldev from Hear A Million, along with faculty members, VMS staff, and distinguished guests.
On the occasion, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Nilofer Khan appreciated the efforts of VMS and assured all possible support to the organization in serving Divyangjan and strengthening inclusive initiatives across the region.
